In a world increasingly vulnerable to unpredictable natural calamities and accidental fire breakouts, mock drills in schools have evolved into a critical pillar of institutional safety rather than a perfunctory annual routine. Far from being mere rehearsals, these meticulously planned simulations instill disciplined response mechanisms in young minds, transforming schools into resilient ecosystems capable of confronting emergencies with clarity and composure.

The significance of such preparedness was recently brought to life on our own campus, reinforcing how theory translates into action during simulated crises.

Our school conducted a comprehensive mock drill on to assess the emergency readiness of both students and staff. The exercise simulated an earthquake scenario, and the response exhibited by all participants was commendable. Students evacuated in an orderly manner, adhering to the protocols of “Drop, Cover, Hold” before proceeding to the designated assembly area without panic or haste.

Under the guidance of our Principal madam Mrs Khusboo Thakur mock drill was executed with remarkable precision and discipline. She subsequently addressed the gathering, guiding students on maintaining composure during adverse circumstances and lauded the collective discipline displayed and underscored the non-negotiable importance of preparedness in today’s unpredictable world.

Such exercises are vital reminders that safety is not incidental—it is cultivated. In an age where disasters strike without warning, a well-executed mock drill is the most profound lesson a school can impart.
